Levels of Registration

Practitioner

All therapists listed on this website have satisfied the training requirements for Practitioner Level registration or above. Subject to GHR verification, they have individually been awarded the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice by the GHSC and are entitled to utilise the letters ‘GQHP’.

Advanced

This status confirms that a therapist has undertaken a course of instruction beyond the normal Practitioner Level and which is acknowledged by the GHSC to have been at the appropriate advanced level of tuition. They are entitled to utilise the letters ‘ADPR’ which denotes Advanced Practitioner.

Senior

This status is based upon experience and is awarded to therapists who have been in continual practice for a minimum of five years and have maintained the required number of client sessions throughout that period. They have individually been awarded the Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice by the GHSC and are entitled to utilise the letters ‘SQHP’.

N.B. In line with the GHR policy of encouraging ongoing development within the field, Affiliate Level registrants do not feature on the website and all therapists currently holding this grade are required to meet the criteria for Practitioner Level status before they may be included.
