22nd June 2015

Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen –

MSc in Professional Studies (Clinical Hypnotherapy)

As stated within our previous E-Bulletin of 7 June, we have been requested by Robert Gordon University to circularise the below information to our registered practitioners – and this we are delighted to do.

The MSc Degree has been specifically created for the purpose of contributing to the onward professionalism of hypnotherapy in the UK and really does represent an opportunity far too good to miss.

As you would expect, places on the programme are strictly limited and we would consequently urge all who wish to possess a Masters Degree in their chosen field to contact the University without delay. Such an award will not only mark you out as someone truly committed to your profession but also provide the additional academic credibility that can only enhance your own professional standing and success.

Furthermore, participation in the programme would count as your annual GHR CPD requirement and provided that you had been practicing as a hypnotherapist for at least two years, successful completion of the programme would qualify you for Advanced Practitioner status within the GHR.

Credible UK University based degrees in hypnotherapy are extraordinarily rare and for a Masters programme to become available is truly exceptional.

The closing date for applications is almost upon us and the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious programme may not come again.

Don’t delay; make the best investment of all. Invest in yourself – and your profession.

Training School Update

We have also received some recent news from HypnoFocus Training, a GHSC Affiliated Training Provider, who felt this would provide an interesting news item for our Registrants.

They state the following:

We are writing to let you know that we have achieved approval for our Hypnotherapy Diploma Course from the British Psychological Society (BPS).

We are only the second training organisation in the United Kingdom to gain this level of approval and I believe we are the first operating under the GHSC & GHR Accreditation system to do so. We believe this is a very significant first for ourselves and the GHSC & GHR.

We now display the highly regarded British Psychological Society logo on our website and the statement below -

“Approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).”

Our commitment to improving our standards and therefore the standing of hypnotherapy within the professions is of utmost importance to us and we will consequently soon be announcing a number of CPD events for which we are most pleased to have recruited the services of some outstanding trainers, all of whom are specialists in their field, qualified hypnotherapists and are listed on our website.
